Digitisation Guide

What a digitised file is, why it is needed, and what the fee covers.

Why digitising is needed

An embroidery machine cannot read a normal image file. Digitising converts your logo into a stitch file (the path, type, density and order of every stitch).

Good digitising is a craft — it affects how clean the final embroidery looks, how it sits on the fabric, and how long it lasts.

The fee

Digitising is charged once per unique design, per placement size. It is shown separately at checkout.

After a design is digitised with us it is stored on your account. Re-ordering the same design at the same size is free; a different size may need re-digitising.

Turnaround

Digitising usually adds 1–2 business days before production starts. You will see a proof for approval on complex designs.
